I had to go to thr ER for a medical emergency and my boss was only concerned with me being late

This is my SECOND day on the job. I walked out of my house for work at 8:30am. I did not know and have no idea how I didn't know there is a bee's nest under my porch. I started walking to my car and felt the pinch of one bee sting on the back of my arm. Then another. Since I haven't been stung in years, my eppipen is expired. I usually avoid all my allergens (shellfish and MRI contrast dye) and haven't been stung in 30 years. I started driving myself to the hospital. It's exactly 5 minutes away. Since this was my only option, I got there and told triage I was stung.

They administered the eppipen and thankfully it worked but I needed monitored because I am also epileptic and have a heart condition.

I emailed my boss to inform her I was in the ER. I emailed that I'm allergic and had to go to the hospital for a bee sting. When she wrote back she said “what time are you expecting to be in today?”.

I've had allergic reactions where my throat has nearly closed entirely shut. It's a serious medical emergency. I wish employer's gave a shit.
