Someone I know requested two weeks off for around his wedding. Instead of this, he was given less than a week.. He is so conditioned to the abuse that he was like “well, if I do not do well, then I shouldn't get time off.”
That is insane to me. I have never once believed that shit in all of my years of working. Why do people just lie down and accept this shit!? This is in the United States by the way, land of the FREE :eyeroll:.
Why do we as a country allow ourselves to be worked to death by our CEO overlords? I know why, because people are uneducated here and think that Europeans have less 'freedums' than we do… but holy crap the indoctrination is deep.
