My sister is a talented writer, and been in the field for many years. The company she currently works for is a mental health organization. She's been in the industry for quite some time, but she's new to this particular job as she was on maternity leave, and desperately wanted a work from home role (to care for her baby, and also since they've moved far away from the city recently so there's no opportunities nearby). This company at first was lovely towards her, but things have taken a turn once they have started encouraging their employees to use artificial intelligence to slowly take over their work. My sister was hired to specifically write article posts on their website, but this “mental health” company has now been treating my sister like shit, and discrediting her skill by complaining that she's not using AI enough, and suddenly making many corrections to her writing, which they weren't doing before. She thinks it's because they're trying to replace her role entirely by AI. I personally feel like it's so unethical for this company to use robots to get a message across to people struggling with their mental health. My sister called me crying on the phone for an hour today that she's going to be losing her job because of AI, and she feels like she's failing her husband and child. I really want to put this company on blast for how awful their morals are, especially for a “mental health” organization. Assholes.
