Why do job review sites feel the need to go as far as censoring their reviews for non registered users?

Whether it's Glassdoor requiring a line of steps plus a creation of a linked account, in order to see reviews, or indeed telling you to submit a previous employer review, to unblur reviews you search for. Why do we need to jump through hoops to achieve basic fucking research? Can I please pop into a website Bing bang boom without being disected? It would take me under 5 minutes to collect the data I need for a decision making process. Now it's gonna take 10, 15, 20 minutes. Its one thing if you want to submit a review, but to simply read, I still need all my personal information cached in their websites.
