Reading all these stories about people being unfairly fired.

It seems employment laws in the US, compared to Europe, are fairly non existent. Firings for asking for time off for funerals, operations, illness etc. Paid different salaries than colleagues for doing the exact same job. Managers and directors who think they’re one step down from god. “We’re one big family” until they just fire you for spurious reasons. Wtf isn’t every worker in America in a union?
