Survived an earthquake yesterday. Asked to come to work today…

So you may or not have heard the news that Morocco had a 6.9 earthquake yesterday around midnight. It was a horrifying experience to say the least. We had to sleep in the street till morning and even now, most people are weary of going back to their homes in fear of another quake. Over 800 people died and many homes crumbled down in my region alone and we're still uncertain about what to do next. Still, upper management at my work decided it's completely safe and fine to ask to show up to work today as if nothing happened. I'm lost for words. I decided not to go and stay with my family and I have no idea how to handle this.
