Been at this job weeks, I actually like it a lot. Pay is passable and I'm given a lot of freedom to do kinda what I want as long as I'm productive, outside a few hours worth of priority tasks each day.
I'd been out of work for quite a while and 3 weeks in (last week) I strained myself, somehow. No isolated incident but now any time I push myself I get a lot of stabbing/aching pain around my left kidney. (It's not kidney related). At first I saw a doctor, intentionally avoiding wcb, took a week off work and now a week later it's still a problem. Spent all day in ER last night to get tests done. The doctor filled out a modified duties sheet and now that's what I'm doing. Says I need to stress it till it hurts then take it easy.
It's kind of embarrassing tbh. This is one of the easiest labour jobs I've ever done. I rarely have to lift over 50 lbs. And I'm frustrated cause I kinda just wanna do my job and go home. My immediate supervisor is visibly annoyed with me, which I kinda get. But we're 2 days into our 4 day work week and my teams already finished all the priority tasks so I don't even know why he'd be frustrated. I havnt seen my manager yet but I have a bad feeling tbh. Like I'm scared I'll lose my job over this.
Idk why I'm posting this. Just frustrated.
