Got up this morning stupid early. Hair and makeup. Traveled an hour by bus and missed my second bus because the first was late. Had to take an uber from a random point in the city to get to my interview on time. Only for the lady to literally ask me 2 questions and then say “we'll be in touch”. I'm not even kidding. The entire meeting was the length of a tiktok video. Oh, and it's minimum wage with no guaranteed hours and no set schedule – just on-call. Why couldn't you tell me this on the phone? I asked her about this stuff on the phone and she said full-time starting at 18. So she's a liar and wasted my time, money, and energy.
No benefits, no pension, no bonuses, no hours, nothing. “Just be available whenever we want at the drop of a hat and get paid nothing for it. Oh and I couldn't be bothered tell you any of this on THE PHONE WHEN YOU ASKED.” I've been drinking gross black coffee and using leftover men's shampoo because I don't have enough money to go fucking grocery shopping. Just getting screwed over by all the damn employers in the city. One by one. I'm sick and tired of it. I don't deserve it! I have an amazing resume, strong education, great interview skills, open availability and can start right away.
Screw this. I know I'm valuable. Im going to start being extremely picky and getting answers to the big questions on the phone before I even agree to an interview. Its only been 3 weeks and I want to jump off a bridge. Job hunting is actual HELL. Fuck these people. FUCK THESE PEOPLE.
