I’m hourly, part time in a warehouse. My friend is full time. Management made a change to the system to automatically deduct 30 minutes of pay every day unless you manually punch your lunch or request a removal (for skipping lunch). My friend went months before learning about the new system, meaning he lost hours and hours of pay. Now he requests them to be taken off every day through the company app, and they deny most of the requests he makes.
I have limited permissions on this app. I requested access to view my timesheets and daily punches months ago, but was never approved. That means when I have to ask them in person every night to remove my lunch, I have no way to verify if they actually did until I get my paycheck.
This company is always finding new ways to micromanage or nickel and dime us. I can’t even punch out for lunch and back in 2 seconds later because they’ll change it to 30 minutes. At this point I’m just waiting for a pipe to fall on my head and claim so I can finish college with hair on my head.
