List of few workers rights in a poor Asian country

I won't go into details about specifics but my country of residence so as to not spark some political debate but just to give an idea, these rights are enjoyed by many Asian countries: I thought this was important to mention: If you want to take days off, no matter what season or how high busy your company is, the employee needs to give 15 days notice only. Once the employee gives 15 days notice, the company MUST accept the leave request and give days off. I won't go into details about specifics but my country of residence so as to not spark some political debate but just to give an idea, these rights are enjoyed by many Asian countries:

  1. I thought this was important to mention: If you want to take days off, no matter what season or how high busy your company is, the employee needs to give 15 days notice only. Once the employee gives 15 days notice, the company MUST accept the leave request and give days off. Rejecting this is illegal (less than 15 days notice can be rejected though)
  2. 30 days a year paid vacation. By law a minimum. Additionally, we also have approximately 15 days a year of national holidays that are considered days off (besides the normal weekend). And you can absolutely, by law, take all 30 days of those vacation together and even merge them with other holidays (I usually take 40 days together)
  3. If you are an expatriate, you also get a plane ticket to and from your home country once a year
  4. When you quit or are fired (unless you're fired for illegal activity or fraud) you get some sort of end of service benefits. I get 1 month salary (based on my last salary) for each year I have worked when I leave the company. This is by law and not based on company.
  5. You're allowed a minimum of 15 minutes late clocking in by law. So if your work starts at 8:00 AM, you can clock in at 8:15 AM and this is 100% protected by law.
  6. If you're an employee, you and your entire family must get Medical insurance which will cover practically everything (dental, optical, everything) for a very nominal deductible. The terms and conditions for your policy are standard by the government and insurance companies and employers can only increase the benefits, not reduce. Anything that isn't covered by the insurance companies (except the deductible, which believe me is extremely small amount), the employer must cover but realistically the insurance companies must cover almost everything.
  7. You can only be fired after 3 warning and you cannot be given a warning less than 30 days before the last
  8. If you have an exam of ANY KIND, they cannot make you work. So if you are a student and have to take exam or anything, just tell them and legally they must give you days off.

Mind you I typed this list out from the top of my mind. There are many other rights and benefits we have at our place of employment that I am forgetting. This place isn't a dystopia for sure and I know many flaws also which I will not list (mainly because those flaws are somehow amplified in America). But these rights I feel are reasonable and should be a bare minimum in most countries.
