Work sent out non-anonymous survey with an inappropriate question

Might not be the right place to post this, since I'm questioning the legality of it. The survey is named, mandatory and asks if you've ever thought about leaving. It also happens to have come promptly after much of the workforce requested a raise, but before any raises have been granted. I personally find that question uncomfortable and would be surprised if they can legally ask that, especially since it would throw shade on any legitimate reasons they may have to fire you in the future and on any of the raises that may be declined. I work in NH, USA if that's of any assistance.
