It is that time again: annual evaluations. And as always it starts with self assessments where it invariably asks what I think I need to improve on and what I think my faults are. Like, if you haven't figured that out by now why would help you justify giving me less of a raise I could've otherwise had?
It sucks to because if you just give yourself all 5s and say you have no room for improvement or have no faults that is used against you as well. Either they will think you didn't take it seriously enough or are lying in hopes they won't notice.
It's not like any candidate has ever entered the ballot box and thought “you know what's the other guy is better than me, I'll vote for him instead of myself”.
