I left my previous I.T. job in May, and started applying for others. I got a relatively appealing position and in June, I accepted their offer letter. I went through the usual NATO rigamarole of “e-mail this, send us that”, and I completed everything in early July.
It is now September and I'm nearing dire straits. I keep getting told by the company they're waiting on approval to bring me in and while that's great, I'm currently surviving on a hotel managers kindness and little else. Yes, I've perused and applied to positions back in America but I'm still hesitant because with my luck, a job stateside would bring me on just as this one would pull me in.
I'm stressed, annoyed, irritated, and at wits end. I hate being in these conditions and I honestly don't know what to do.
