Offline?

I'm in a salaried Director role in IT working remotely. Due to meeting craziness I often block time on my calendar to actually get tasks complete. I emailed my boss throughout the morning today during one of these blocks for feedback/review on some slides I was working on. Around lunch I took 1/2 hour to step away from my laptop. I then attended meetings for 3 hours straight. During one of these meetings, around 2pm my boss messaged me “someone was looking for you and you were offline so they asked me if you were working today”. Are you kidding me? I called him immediately after the meeting I was on to find out more. There wasn't someone else, it was him. Of course I never missed a ping on teams, failed to respond to an email or anything. I'm ahead of schedule on my projects, get great feedback from everyone I work with. I can't figure it out. This type of toxic bullshit is unacceptable and makes me hate my job.

Just ranting. I have a lot of contacts in my network who would hire me in a minute. I make good money, great benefits, love the people I work with but this guy is a lover.
