Had a busier week last cycle, should have been 15 hours, paycheck arrives, only shows 13. WTF. Email to the CFO comes back with a word salad about how they had been OVERPAYING for some time (oopsie !) but now they've gone and fixed it. Overtime only gets paid for hours worked above 40 (OK) so if there is any PTO or holiday time during that week, it reduces the overall 40 count.

So what this means it, I took two hours that week for a personal need, but still worked the overtime, but I lost two hours of overtime (at 1.5x rate) on count of the work week only having been '38' hours. That feels like some kind of wage theft even if its just the .5x of the two hours.

This isn't a battle I can possibly win but I can decline to work any more OT on the weeks where there are holidays or my own PTO. Supposedly this is all 'above board' with my states DOL but how would I verify that.
