Ever since Covid my place of business had a fairly liberal WFH policy, of which we created on site schedules. This worked out pretty well, almost all of our work got completed. However, This year since my kids have been back in school we have been sick off and on more than normal. Today I get a message from my boss saying that WFH is to be almost gone unless predetermined and approved. He works 100% from home since he doesn't have an admin account for our system.
I took today as a WFH day because wife and kiddo were sick. A coworker seemed to take that personally. I could tell by the way he responded during a meeting and asked if I was to be on site today. Then we get the email. WTF. This dude btw never takes PTO or sick time. I just don't understand the mindset. I just don't get it.
