Adjusted for inflation – how much wealthier are the rich?

Serious question for finance gurus – I've been seeing a lot of posts that say things like if you factor in inflation, quality of life expenses, price increases for goods, etc. We are making about as much as people did in the depression, people in the 70s when factoring in these details were making absurd amounts of wealth, etc. and other claims similar to this, can anyone confirm this? – and more importantly- when these are factored in – how much richer are the rich??? Was the 1% a thing at these times? (Like the depression?) And were they relatively as rich as today's millionaires? TIA, no idea how to begin doing this myself but I'm curious.
