I am 35. My power just got shut off for the first time tonight. I have 6 candles lit so the room heats up and keeps my hedgehogs bin above 70F. I get paid in 2 days so its not too bad, they said partial payment wasnt good enough.

Before Covid; 4 people do what my team of 2 does right now. I Inherited this position for no payraise shortly after being hired because the guy who hired me quit.
Coworker on my team is incompetent and barely speaks english so I am basically doing the work of 3 people. I have had 1 raise in 2 years…… 5% raise(lower than inflation).
Ive applied for 70+ jobs in the past month. I gave up on doordash its inconsistent working out to $9CAD an hour more than a few nights…
My genx & boomer bosses have mortgages lower or equal to my rent and they make 3-4x more than me im not sure.
I pay $1350CAD before utils.
I dont do anything, all of my money is spent on my medication, gas to get to work, and food. Im losing alot of weight.
Then theres a huge class of adults and their spoiled kids that own property.
And its getting worse. Luckily in October i get 3 paychecks because theres 3 two week periods for me there so im fine for now, but im pretty screwed if nothing happens. Maybe stoping rent and only paying bills?
Because of covid I havent seen my family in Pennsylvania since 2018, besides my parents 1 trip up for my bday last yearš„°, because im paralyzed from poor. Ex opened my mail and held my PR card hostage and I have to get a new one.
If i talk about it bills or any stryggle at work they say “everyone's struggling”.
Well all I do is work… I dont think people appreciate how much it sucks to ONLY work and despite that you cant support just yourself in a tiny 1 bedroom.apt…… I have no appreciating relationships, no appreciating property, nothing. Just nothing. Nothing is here to stay for now
The housing market is terrible here. I am locked in at a 2020 price thank god…my apartment would be about $2000CAD now. Genz is going to burst, they will become homeless or never move out. Idle hands.
