Throwaway for reasons
I was recently turned down for a management role because I was told in my first interview I came off as “generic.” I was then thanked for all that I do and how they knew I was capable of the job (I did the job for 6 years prior) but blah blah blah.
This happened after I was assaulted by a co-worker a week earlier and they swept it under the rug saying for me to “get over it”.
This week I took a WFH job that is a 50% pay increase and much better work/life balance.
My recruiter even encouraged me to travel and enjoy life while working, he said “as long as you have internet, we couldn’t care less where you are. Does the moon have WiFi?”
I’m excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to resign today with no notice. That’s a bridge I’m happy to burn.
