Connections are greater than everything else

My current company has 80% of employees from one single organization of their previous line of work and you can see how they really trust people they know than someone not from the same industry/ line of work. For example, 1. Trusting them with more work than me although I have expressed willingness to perform the task 2. Them with no relevant working experience but starting from the same line and pay as me or higher 3. Only speaking in examples which I don't understand and makes me confused 80% of the time, they need not provide any general examples So burnt out and losing passion working here although the pay is reasonable.
