Low-pay jobs

“No one wants to work”, we counter this my saying “We do, we just don’t want to work for peanuts”. My mom also states that I’m not paying any bills (despite her sometimes for help on rent +my 5k tuition my FAFSA didn’t cover) which leads me to think she doesn’t believe young people deserve higher pay or something which is just beyond frustrating.

TL;DR: Jobs are not paying actual living wages, yet my mom think it’s okay because “I’m on the Bottom”
