Avoiding going to the office (hybrid work)

I work as a Software Developer and I have been working on a project for a consulting company for almost a year. When they made me the offer for the position, they told me that the mode of work was going to be 100% remote. However, the day I went in to pick up my work equipment, I was told that they usually come to the office once a week. In my case, I have been “allowed” to go every two weeks. – I wouldn't even have to go in one day to begin with because when I was hired I was told it was 100% remote-. Since I came back from my summer vacation, I have not gone to the office and I have not justified it. I am not the only one who follows this practice, so they have sent a notice to please let them know when we are not going.

The issue is that I don't feel like going to the office, except for some important event or meeting (once a month at most). So, could this be a problem and would it jeopardize my job?

PS: The work environment is good and I like the project I am working on, so what really worries me is this issue of having to go to the office. Personally, when I have gone I work less concentrated and I lose about two hours of commuting.
