Looking for Low Stress Job Ideas

Greetings Reddit! I currently work as an engineering consultant and I'm burnt out by the stressful deadlines and heavy handed management. I am financially stable and am looking for lower stress jobs, even at a significant pay cut. The stress is affecting my sleep dramatically which is hurting my health. Greetings Reddit!

I currently work as an engineering consultant and I'm burnt out by the stressful deadlines and heavy handed management. I am financially stable and am looking for lower stress jobs, even at a significant pay cut. The stress is affecting my sleep dramatically which is hurting my health.

I know no job has zero stress, but I worked at the Barnes & Noble distribution center during late Covid and it was pretty chill. My worst days there are better than my best days at my current job. That particular job wasn't very competitive on compensation, but if I could find a middle ground between the two I would be satisfied.

I'm even considering Costco because I know they have good benefits, but I'm not sure exactly what I would do there. Job doesn't need to be interesting, just pay the bills and provide health insurance. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

FYI, I live in Reno, NV and moving outside of that city is not an option right now. But we have most large American companies you can think of, and lots of local businesses.

I'm not planning on quitting right this second, but I'm trying to weigh my options before I need to quit.
