after three interviews (including a coding assignment) and them saying “ya we could def use you, we think its gonna be a good fit, etc” throughout the process and a close friend who works at the company referring me. its basically a data/software whatever nerdy position. then they emailed me today and said “so we dont actually need you rn haha have a good life we’ll lyk if we ever never ever need u”. I’m beyond mad, I absolutely NEEDED this job. my income was literally about to quadruple. I have $3 in my bank account rn.
I haven’t responded to the email and i dont really plan to but i so desperately want to say something along the lines of “go fuck yourself” like they didnt even say “sorry, unfortunately” they literally said “i discussed YOUR ROLE IN THE COMPANY with the ceo extensively, we think youd be a great fit for these projects we have….but we are shelving those projects, no job for you have fun!!” im basically asking for you to either talk me off this ledge or be the devil on my shoulder lol. im absolutely crushed, like the ice they giv u in ur drink at Canes.
