I've been “promoted” from a meagre hourly rate to a marginally higher (like less than a dollar per hour) salaried rate… All I heard from that meeting is, “now if you work OT we don't have to pay you!”
You better believe that I'll be working 'just enough to not get me fired' moving forward. Also I was one of the only employees that held the organization accountable for extra hours worked… So many people did it for the good of the client. Fuck that.
At least at this point in my “career” I know when I'm being ripped off.
