I am moving from the government sector to the private sector. Put in my notice on Monday and said I would work the remaining two work weeks. This comes out to less than 14 calendar days which HR tells me is required, otherwise they will be putting me on their ineligible for rehire list and will tell future employers who call for a reference that I am not eligible for rehire. Not sure why they would want to be that petty.
