In January, I applied for an internal position at my job, different role but same department. At the time, I was the only internal applicant that had a niche certification for the role and experience doing that role from a previous job. Supervisor waited 8 MONTHS, without any communication, to pick someone. Better yet, in that time the person the supervisor encouraged the selected applicant to also get the certification. It really feels like they wanted my qualifications, but not me. Not like I was holding my breath over it, I kinda gave up after 4 months of hearing nothing, but it sucks.
