I have been thinking about this for a while and have come to a conclusion that employers just want people from wealthy to upper middle class employees, given how they don't provide benefits, livable wage or cars to get to and from. So over the past 100 or so years they have been off-putting all that onto society and your own family members.
On applications and interviews all i see is employers asking for masters level or PhD education(covered by family or government), Newer cars preferably Truck or Vans on my own dime to anything like tools required to particular job to asking me what neighborhood I live.
Many of the questions have nothing to do with the skill of the job but they are like. How old are you? Where are u from? Where did u go to school? What kind of car do you own? Make and model? Can u work nonstop for 12hrs? Can u work past lunch or breaks? Do you have another job? Are you a current student? Do you have Kids or a partner? Who do u live with? House or apartment? How much you made at your previous job? What was the end salary at that job? Do u have any health issues? Can u work on call?
I just think ideal candidate is some young upper middle class college grad who has parents that support him financially. Independent adults or some working class joe is someone they don't want because they have other attachments and expect higher pay.
