My current job is in healthcare. In my department at any given time (there’s 30 people in my department ) only one person can have a day off. We have good pto, 25 days a year, but we cannot use it… Every request Ive made since starting this job has been denied. It’s getting increasingly frustrating. It’s the best I’ve been paid but I need a little more flexibility. I am going to have to call off for my friends wedding this week.
Any advice on talking to management about the policy?
It feels like I have a benefit I cannot use.
