We are on alternating on call shifts. Monday to Monday. Work normal shift during day. On call the other hours.
My issue is….
We get 1.5 pay when called out. If we are over our 40 during the week then we get 1.5 already. So there is no financial incentive. We get no compensation for being on call and not getting called in.
Usually we are slammed with work. This week i work 4 hrs of on call. And stayed home and waited for the call. Missed pumpkin patch, haunted house and a movie theater trip with my wife and daughter since i was on call.
