Is there any way to get my bosses to let all of the cashiers have at least stools to sit on?

For context I’m in Ohio and I work for a medium sized family owned business and I started a new job and I like it but we’re going into the winter season and business is painfully slow I’m on my feet for 9 hours a day with a 30 minute lunch break. I don’t see any reason why we can’t sit if we can still see over the computer and move enough to get the magnetic tags off, or even slide off a chair when a customer comes over to check out. So like the title is there any way I could get my bosses to give us seating while at registers and not risk getting myself fired even though I work for an at will employer?
