What’s in the way of America’s sense of community

I made a post a bit ago briefly discussing how the US is so individualistic and how we’re so isolated, and I wanted to poke a little further at that subject. I’m already fed up with our isolated and individualistic format for society, after just 1 year post grad. As someone who’s an entrepreneurial engineer at heart, I want to put my labor towards rebuilding America’s sense of community. The barriers to entry for my ideals of creating genuine communal lifestylesto others, that I can think of, is stuff like cost of living and the prospective stability and quality of life it would provide, how habitable the members are, and the sort of labor involved in participating in such a lifestyle. I’m confident in my ability to figure those problem out, but I’m not confident I know all the barriers that would disinterest people from joining a communal lifestyle. What…
