I work at a garden center in Nevada and we use those good old Motorola radios to communicate across the property. When I started working here, they made me sign a waiver saying I take responsibility for it and owe them if I break it or lose it. I put it away in the charging dock on Sept. 25th. The next morning, I tested positive for covid and did not return to work until Oct. 7th. My radio was not only not where I put it, but not in the dock at all.
They're saying I'm still responsible and it's coming out of my next paycheck. Is there anything I can do or am I boned here?
