Completely fucking done with after hours calls.

Part rant part question, I work at a tire shop and alternate weeks with another coworker, during my week I can't leave town, can't make any solid plans and have to stay just about as sober as a nun, pretty standard stuff except for the fact I don't get paid a dime for any of it. I only get paid when the phone rings and even then it amounts to a whopping $98-99 CAD after taxes (it's what the guaranteed 3 hrs of time and a half OT rate per call ends up being). And I could be doing a pickup tire, or it could be a 20.5R25 grader it doesn't matter. Luckily it's been quiet lately but I just don't want the stress of it without pay worth a damn. Is this the unfortunate norm or am I being force fed a deal so raw I can practically hear…
