My spouse works for a medium sized bank in a responsible position supporting branches across the state and makes $16.25 an hour. Not the first bank they have worked for, all have paid about the same. Fortunately they have me to help – I do not know how anyone can live on the pittance banks pay – until you get to the upper echelons. But their position is one that doesn't allow a lot of upward movement. With inflation, we are struggling. Why do banks think they can get away with this kind of pay????
