Zero paid sick days…

I don’t understand how that’s even legal. I didn’t grow up in the US, but moved here a few years ago. Im shocked at how employees are treated. Sure, pay is higher than anywhere else in the world, but literally everything else is worse. I’m currently pregnant and nearing the end of the first trimester, and not having ANY paid sick days has been so rough. Like, I’m showing up to work even when I’ve been throwing up or not sleeping all night. Even if I weren’t pregnant, this is terrible. I literally get 15 weeks of PTO a year and that includes sick leave. Also, once I give birth, they force me to use all my accrued PTO (which obviously isn’t much) before I can apply for short term disability. They also expect me full-time back at work at 4-8 weeks postpartum. Wtf. Where I’m from, the majority of…

Where I’m from, the majority of women stays home tor 6-12 months after the birth, and gets 65-100% of her salary for that time.
