Board members

As a lot of others have experienced, so to do I suffer from too many bills and not enough money to address the problems that creep up between them. I was particularly put off when my landlord called to let me know I was short $20. (Turns out the 20 was in the drop box I had left out for him, just didn’t grab the bottom one) and nearly snapped. I had zero’d my checking account to make ends meet. But instead of wallowing, I got mad. Then I got curious, looked up the board of directors at my company… and then I got mad again. We have had a new company President since August of this year. Within three months, they have themselves a $1.9 million bonus. The rest of the board seems to draw around 145k and 222k (lowest and highest annual salary I was able to find)…

We have had a new company President since August of this year. Within three months, they have themselves a $1.9 million bonus.

The rest of the board seems to draw around 145k and 222k (lowest and highest annual salary I was able to find) as well as bonuses of varying degrees (a few thousand up to 190K) and then millions in stocks

I’ll have to dig into it more to see how accurate/trustworthy the site is, but wallmine . com seems to have rather detailed information in regards to executives and companies. Look up your company’s board, look them up individually to see the disparity in an at least partial light.

I am sure I’m uneducated in the finer workings of upper management and what all costs are expected of them, how much goes to payroll vs what they actually make. But even still, the magnitude of production workers breaking their bodies to meet quotas is baffling when they’re paid below or barely at a living wage.

Even my supervisors were taken aback by the bonus. Both by how much and how quickly they had received it.

Oh, and also found out that a few of the board members are also owners or sitting board members for other companies as well. So a salary down for one company may not disclose the other.

It’s sickening. And while it’s a lot of money, these people have nothing on even larger branches and corporations. I can’t even fathom the amount.
