I could use some advice navigating what to do next.

Like the title suggests, im stuck. I recently stared my first real job since graduating, ive been here a year and while i do love the work i do, im always having to do the work of two or three people. For context, i work for a small nature preserve where i help maintain the property as well as fixing anything else that breaks. I used to work retail which took any real enjoyment out of life I currently make $17hr which is okay but the amount of work im doing with the lack of help is wearing me down much faster than when i was in retail. We are supposed to get a new full time employee to help out with tasks but this coworker doesnt really seem vested in what we are trying to do here. I really do like this job but i know itll just be…

I really do like this job but i know itll just be me breaking my back and never seeing friends or family while watching everyone i know move on while im still picking up the slack. Any suggestions on how to improve this place or are there jobs that are similar that dont have me dealing with the general public.
