Essential workers-are you still angry about not being reimbursed for being forced to work in a pandemic?

It still makes me angry even three years later. I deliver food to independent supermarkets and restaurants. It was a complete screw you to everyone, to say to this particular group of people-stay at home, and be safe, and here’s extra money on top of what you normally get to enjoy (I live near a Best Buy, it was booming during that period) but as for the other group (you’re an essential worker, keep on working in a hazardous environment that you didn’t sign up for. And by the way don’t quit or you won’t get unemployment-and there’s no hazard pay for basically being trapped into working. But here’s a sign that says you’re a hero!) and for the record I’m not talking about emergency employees-first responders etc. I’m talking about jobs where they could have functioned without trapping people into working-I don’t think a Aldi cashier signed up to…
