i like most hate working for others and being told what to do for a small wage.. soo ive been thinking a lot recently about what is our purpose here and how can we navigate this crisis without checking out/ giving up?
- is it about finding what you are really interested in so that your work consumes u during the day? ya know, when you are doing something and time just seems to vanish into thin air and you are completely present? but is that realistic? surely not everyone could make that a career? thoughts? and a lot of times these activities, wether they are careers or not , aren't paid great so that idealistic and notion doesn't always match up to reality.
- is it about doing what you “love” which idk what that means… most things people love cant be monetized to be honest, or are not valued by the economy. Okay i love helping and motivating kids and sometimes teaching them.. but give me a curriculum and 20-30 kids at a time where a lot of the kids are annoying/misbehaved..thats so draining.
- maybe its about finding what skills you are inherently good at and try to foster that into a career? thinking about the world as a whole? how can you give ur skills and talents to everyone in the best way? in a more selfless way of thinking.
- is it about sucking up? taking jobs for good pay and decent balance so we can live the lives we want to when we are free? is it just about acceptance? like just accepting this is how it is so stop complaining about it because complaining makes it miserable.
