Just had to get this off my chest. Every year, this one person at work takes up collection to celebrate Bosses day to buy our bosses lunch or breakfast, and it just boils my blood. Even if you have a great boss, this should not be a thing. You should NOT put everyone on blast and see who wants to contribute and who doesn't. Not everyone is in the position to donate money to people who make well over double what the highest paid non manager makes. The first time she did this, I hit reply all (something I'm publicly always saying is something you should never do…) and said, I would not be participating.
For those of you unware, bosses day was created by some lady…who worked for her own FATHER, and wanted to celebrate what a great boss he was…. WTF lady, there is a day for that already, it's called FATHER's Day. Maybe he was a great boss to you….
