Since about July of this year things haven't been great where l'm working. I got asked by my manager in a one on one what I expected for compensation next year aka a raise. Let that sit for a moment in your head.
That was after they laid off about 20 percent of the staff by the way.
Now last company meeting the boss stated “We've done a head count along with a budget for next year”. To me that's corporate jargon for “We're doing more layoffs beginning next year”
Corporations want things done cheaper and don't like paying for talent. I know l've watched some very smart people not retained as the company considered it “too much” to pay them what they are worth.
This is more of my two cents but if any of that is ever mentioned where you work as i stated above, find another job. You were looking for one, when you found this one.
