What misconceptions did you have when joining the workforce?

Growing up I was always taught that work hard and be the last person to leave and have a good relationship with your boss or management. because they will help you out and the long run like I don't know, increase salary or better job opportunities down the road. But it feels like working hard nowdayss like you just getting taken advantage off and feels like nobody actually really cares about you. You show up to work and leave but life just feels meaningless. Your always getting told what to do or get reminded of your not performing at peak level. Sometimes, family and friends judge you based on what job you work or how much money you make. Often times, just feel like maybe finishing college will be a better option so you could get a good paying job rather than working dead end jobs. But I don't know…

But I don't know how to break and come out of those jobs. Even decent paying entry level jobs require some sort of experience which I just don't have. I ask myself if they require experience than how will I get if I don't get hired in first place.
