I started a new job not too long ago and I am in training to be a manager. As of right now my title is assistant manager/trainee until the opening of an additional location. During a conversation with some employees I accidentally made a joke about leaving an hr early. Something to the effect of “I think I’ll be ok if I lose $$$ this paycheck.” Apparently I started some drama with some employees in the company and I just got a phone call from my boss saying that “It would be a point of contention among staff members” if I discuss my pay. I just agreed until I could get off of the phone. Corporate America fucking sucks…
