Need some support. I work for the State. In our branch there are a lot of interns and new and existing employees who attend school and will work on their coursework during downtime (our downtime can be months long). I have issues with my boss and am taking action to protect myself professionally. In the past when I have worked on certifications that are in our field during my downtime online they have tried dissuading me. Now I just disclosed to my boss I am taking college classes online to get my degree in our field and they said congrats and that I am not allowed to do coursework during buisness hours. This is insane the majority of people in this floor alone let alone this branch are doing coursework online AND it is pertaining to my existing job.
Any support with navigating this is helpful
