Is this a lot or not?

Am I crazy or did they expect a lot? I used to work in a sandwich shop, primarily the closing shift. I still feel like the closing shift had a LOT of tasks, so I wanted to hear if people agree. They had to: Cut vegetables for the next day shift (all vegetables that can go on a sandwich) Make 2 kinds of pasta salad fry bacon Mop both the cafè area and the staff area/kitchen (once with soap water and once with dry mop) wipe down every table, couch/chair, counter, cabinet, machine and fridge with soap Run dishwasher through cleaning cycle Wash every steel counter and sink While also serving customers and make sandwiches, warm meals, coffees, clean up after the customers in the cafè and prepare and refill ingredients if they empty out Pack leftover fresh food for pickup Take all the trash from the whole day out…

I used to work in a sandwich shop, primarily the closing shift. I still feel like the closing shift had a LOT of tasks, so I wanted to hear if people agree. They had to:

Cut vegetables for the next day shift (all vegetables that can go on a sandwich)
Make 2 kinds of pasta salad
fry bacon
Mop both the cafè area and the staff area/kitchen (once with soap water and once with dry mop)
wipe down every table, couch/chair, counter, cabinet, machine and fridge with soap
Run dishwasher through cleaning cycle
Wash every steel counter and sink
While also serving customers and make sandwiches, warm meals, coffees, clean up after the customers in the cafè and prepare and refill ingredients if they empty out
Pack leftover fresh food for pickup
Take all the trash from the whole day out
Count the till and fill out all necessary settlement forms

While we did this, we were also told we had to be visible for the customer at all times, even though half the kitchen wasn't visible for customers and if we logged overtime, we were reprimanded. Also reprimanded if customers saw us actually doing closing tasks, as that “made them feel unwelcome” The scheduled shift time was only half an hour after closing the cafè for customers.

I know these tasks are normal in and of itself, but isn't that a lot for ONE person? Shouldn't there at least be 2?
