I literally just got fired this week because I’ve missed too many days this year. Most had excuses but let’s be real, when a company wants to fire you they’ll justify anything.
So I text my buddy that has wanted to hire me at the company he manages. It’s niche sales, (bathroom remodeling, doors and windows). Since it’s niche basically all the salespeople make at least $120,000/year. If you had a really, really good year you could come away with $250,000/year.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve done a good amount of sales, and usually within a month you realize that the owner’s best friend’s nephew gets all the good leads and everyone else has to stand outside in the cold, chain-smoking cigarettes, waiting for anyone to pull up.
It’s not like that. Plus if it was it’s my buddy this time so I get the fucking leads, Derek!
Anyway this is very much NOT antiwork. But for the first time in my life, I might actually make enough to not only survive, but thrive. I’m 40 years old by the way. 26 years of work experience. Been very much antiwork. Unbelievable.
