Manager complaining about taking a sick day

Today I took a sick day due to feeling ill and testing positive with COVID-19 at the weekend – my role requires me in office most days so working remotely wasn't really an option today. Today I took a sick day due to feeling ill and testing positive with COVID-19 at the weekend – my role requires me in office most days so working remotely wasn't really an option today. Our company is a large company and has good sick pay (100% sick pay after 3 years service) which is partly thanks to (I guess) being in the UK in addition to being unionised. My manager complained about how COVID has affected me and claimed it should be over in less than a week (I stated my symptoms started over a week ago when asked) and that I should be 'testing daily' and that it was 'unusual' my COVID illness has lasted longer than a week. It's as if he doesn't believe me when I say I am genuinely sick. He does seem to frown upon sick days and always asks questions repeatedly when taking a sick day. Also bear in mind this is the first sick day I've had for over 9 months so it's not like I abuse the sick pay policy. Is this typical behaviour to expect from autocratic management?
