Manager made me clock out for working remote. PA

I live in PA and my manager asked me to clock out. We are hybrid so we go into the office 1x a week (Tuesdays). I wasn't feeling well enough to commute to work but was able to get myself up to work from home. I was working for 2 hours when I received a TEAMS im asking me to clock out since I was unwell enough to go into the office. I clocked out. Was this legal? They never advised that if we cannot go into the office then we need to ask for the day off. This was a shock to me honestly. edit: for context ive been with the company for over 6 months and never called out. a lil over a month ago I was not feeling well over the weekend but still had symptoms by Tuesday… I didn't want to get my germs on everyone…

edit: for context ive been with the company for over 6 months and never called out. a lil over a month ago I was not feeling well over the weekend but still had symptoms by Tuesday… I didn't want to get my germs on everyone so I worked from home that day. I felt fine to go into work but overheard someone mention 2 weeks prior “if someone is sick they better not come in and get me sick”.
