So I work in Armed Security. I’ve really been working in this trade for 6-7 years now. However, where I’m currently employed I have been trying to get promoted (I’ve been passed up for promotion about 3 time now.) I’ve been employed for 5 years and I’m the senior on my squad. I keep getting told that my bosses can’t afford to promote me but I’m pretty sure that’s not true. It seems like our higher ups keep making more money while the actual grunt workers can barely get by. I asked my manager if they could look into a promotion for me to work in the office (I have medical issues) and I have been told they don’t want anyone working in the office because they don’t do anything all day. I’m not really sure what to do or how to move forward. I apologize if this post should be in another subreddit, I have read the rules and really just want to live a comfortable life. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
